01
The starting point
A personal site has nothing to hide behind. It only works if it feels like the person, which meant designing around her favorite color, her heritage, and the shapes she loves, then testing ideas until the right ones were obvious.
02
What we did
- Presented several design concepts side by side and chose one together.
- Built the palette from her favorite color, a Miata red, with ivory, sand, and tan.
- Set her name in Baybayin as a monogram, which she chose over a floral mark.
- Framed every photograph in a tall arch, and opened each one with two capiz window panels that part from the middle.
- Let the sampaguita flower drift down the page as the only decoration, and turned all motion off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
- Self-hosted every font, so the page makes no outside requests before it appears.
